The eyes and ears are nearly in their final positions, the heart pumps a large volume of blood each day, and the backbone and small muscles are strengthening so the head can straighten.

How you might feel

You may feel the first fluttery movements, called quickening, especially if this isn't your first pregnancy.

This week's tip: Start sleeping on your side, which improves blood flow to the baby and your organs.
