Your baby at 6 weeks

Facial features are beginning to form, with small depressions that will become eyes and ears. Arm and leg buds appear, and a heartbeat can often be detected on early ultrasound. The neural tube has closed and the brain is developing rapidly.

How you might feel

Morning sickness and food aversions may be ramping up, and fatigue can feel intense.

This week's tip: Eat small, frequent, bland meals and keep crackers by the bed to ease nausea.
