Your baby at 23 weeks

Hearing is well developed and the fetus may respond to loud noises. Blood vessels in the lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the skin is red and wrinkled while fat fills in underneath.

How you might feel

You may notice swelling in your feet and ankles, especially at day's end.

This week's tip: Elevate your feet when you can and avoid standing for long stretches.
