General information, not medical advice. Every pregnancy is different — bring questions to your OB or midwife.

Your baby at 20 weeks

You're at the halfway mark. The fetus is swallowing amniotic fluid and producing meconium in the intestines, and it can hear voices and sounds outside the womb. Measurements now switch from crown-to-rump to full crown-to-heel length.

How you might feel

Your belly is clearly showing and movements are often unmistakable.

This week's tip: Celebrate the halfway milestone — and consider starting a bump photo or journal if that appeals to you.
